MELBOURNE - Feb 8/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak trough of low pressure over the North East Pastoral will dissipate today. A high 1028 hPa south of Western Australia will move eastwards to be near Tasmania on Monday morning. A new high will move in south of the Bight during Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Mild near southern coasts, grading to hot over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds extending throughout this evening.Monday 9 FebruaryDry. Mild near southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 10 FebruaryDry. Warm to hot in the south, grading to very hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 11 FebruaryDry apart from the chance of light drizzle about the Lower South East coast after midday. Warm near southern coasts, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming fresh southeasterly near the coasts during the afternoon.Thursday 12 February Possible thundery showers developing over parts of the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and North East Pastoral districts. Dry over the remainder. Warm about the coasts, but hot to very hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Fresh afternoon sea breezes about the coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be insignificant. Friday until SundayDry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds. Possible showers developing over the agricultural area north of Keith to Adelaide on Sunday.
