Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 6/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Victoria is drifting slowly east while extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast. The high is expected to lie over the central Tasman Sea later today, maintaining the ridge to the north coast. During Sunday a new trough is forecast to cross southern and western parts of the state, with the next high extending a ridge across from the west behind it.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of showers on the northern and central coasts and adjacent ranges, and about the southern ranges in the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms about the southern ranges in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot day in the far west. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 8 FebruaryThe chance of showers on the northern coast and adjacent ranges, and about the southern ranges in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot day in the west. East to northeasterly winds, turning southerly in the south and west.Monday 9 FebruaryShowers along much of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot day in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds in the north, and southwest to southeasterly winds in the south.Tuesday 10 FebruaryShowers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Slight chance of a shower over the central inland and northwest, with little if any rain expected.
