Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 4/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system south of the Bight is moving slowly east extending a ridge along New South Wales coast. The high will move east of Tasmania on Friday and weaken. During Saturday a cold front will cross the state and another high is expected to move towards Tasmania extending a ridge behind it.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayMedium to high chance of showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Mostly clear west of Divide. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 5 FebruaryMedium to high chance of showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny west of Divide. Southeast to northeasterly winds. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Friday 6 FebruaryMedium to high chance of showers along the central and north coasts and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 7 FebruaryMedium chance of showers on the northern half of coast and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot in the far west. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 8 FebruaryMedium chance of showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot in the west.
