Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
The tail end of a cold front lying across southern Victoria will clear eastwards this afternoon. A strong high pressure system south of the Bight will move across Tasmania late on Thursday before moving just to the east of Victoria on Friday and Saturday. A weak low pressure trough will enter the southwest of the State later on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayCool to mild in the south with isolated showers and drizzle patches contracting to Gippsland during the afternoon. Fine, warm and generally sunny over the northern plains. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  Generally HighThursday 5 FebruaryIsolated morning showers in East Gippsland and about the surf coast, otherwise fine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to very warm in the northwest. Moderate to fresh southeast to easterly winds.Friday 6 FebruaryFine. A warm to very warm day with a light to moderate east to northeasterly wind, fresh near the coast.Saturday 7 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated showers in the southwest later. A warm to hot day with a light to moderate northerly wind ahead of a southwesterly change in the southwest later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDV10310
