Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 27/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is located southwest of Tasmania where it will remain until Saturday when it will weaken. Meanwhile, a deepening low pressure trough over the Tasman Sea will develop a low pressure system today. The low is forecast to deepen during Thursday and move to the east of Bass Strait where it will remain on Friday before slowly moving away to the southeast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers or drizzle over central Gippsland tending more extensive over east Gippsland. Cool and mostly cloudy in Gippsland, mild to warm and mostly sunny elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  Very high in the north.Thursday 29 JanuaryScattered showers over central and eastern Gippsland with isolated morning showers extending to the Central district and Otway Ranges. Cool and mostly cloudy in Gippsland, mild to warm and mostly sunny elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southeasterly wind.Friday 30 JanuaryCool and mostly cloudy with showers increasing over Gippsland and tending to areas of rain over east Gippsland. Isolated showers elsewhere in the east and about the central district and western coast. Dry, mild and mostly sunny elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southerly winds.Saturday 31 JanuaryShowers easing over East Gippsland during the morning. Isolated showers elsewhere in the south. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy in the south, mild and generally sunny in the north.
