MELBOURNE - Jan 27/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over inland New South Wales will move further west and weaken tomorrow. A high pressure system moves towards Tasmania extending a ridge along the coast. Another trough is expected to deepen offshore during Thursday with a low developing in it over the southwestern Tasman Sea while a weak ridge is expected to persist across the state. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayShowers and thunderstorms extending from the northern inland through to the Hunter region. Showers also on the ranges and in coastal districts. The chance of showers over the western slopes. Fine and mostly clear further west. South to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 28 JanuaryShowers in the east, and the chance of showers or thunderstorms in central and western districts, apart from near the South Australian border. Mostly fine and sunny in the far west. Southeasterly winds, freshening along the northern coast.Thursday 29 JanuaryThe chance of showers along the eastern side of the ranges, and more likely along coastal districts, particularly in the south. Fine and mostly sunny in the west. Southeasterly winds, tending southwest to southeasterly and fresh along the coast.Friday 30 JanuaryThe chance of showers along the coast, and eastern parts of the northern and southern ranges. Showers more likely on the south coast. Fine and sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong near the coast in the south.Saturday 31 JanuaryThe chance of showers along the coastal fringe. Fine and sunny elsewhere.
