Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 26/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Bight waters is expected to strengthen as it moves southeast. The high will position itself south of Tasmania during Tuesday and remain well to the south for the rest of the week. A low pressure trough to the east of Victoria will deepen significantly during Wednesday night with a low pressure system expected to form over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. The low will remain slow moving over the Tasman Sea during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from isolated showers about the far eastern ranges. Clear in the north, partly cloudy in the south. Moderate southerly winds.Tuesday 27 JanuaryIsolated showers in the east. Fine elsewhere apart from the chance of showers about the southwest coast during the morning. A cool to mild day with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  High to Very High.Wednesday 28 JanuaryScattered showers over east Gippsland. Isolated showers elsewhere in the east and about the southwest coast but remaining fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south but mild to warm over the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly wind.Thursday 29 JanuaryScattered showers over Gippsland. Fine elsewhere apart from isolated showers about the Otway coast and ranges. Cool to mild in the south but mild to warm over the north. Moderate to fresh southeasterly wind.Friday 30 JanuaryShowers increasing over Gippsland. Isolated showers elsewhere in the east and about the central district. Fine over the north and west. Cool to mild in the south but mild to warm over the north with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
