Weather Situation A front is moving across Tasmania this morning. A strengthening high pressure system southwest of Perth will slowly move eastwards to be south of Tasmania by Wednesday evening. Forecast for the rest of SundayThe slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and west coast, more likely about southern coasts and contracting to southern coasts in the afternoon. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Monday 26 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers about the central and southern coasts, contracting to the Lower South East Coast in the evening. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon.Tuesday 27 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers about southern coasts. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Wednesday 28 January The slight chance of showers about the the Lower South East coast. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast. Thursday until SaturdayFine throughout the State, apart from the slight chance of showers about far southern coasts on Friday and Saturday.
