Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 23/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends over the south of the State. A weak front will move over southern coasts on Saturday evening and early Sunday. A strong high will move eastwards south of the State next week, to be south of Tasmania on Wednesday evening.
Forecast for the rest of FridayThe medium chance of showers and possible thunder over the east of the Flinders district and North East Pastoral district south of Moomba. Mild to warm in the south, hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times about the coasts.Saturday 24 JanuaryEarly fog patches over the southern agricultural area. The slight chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area in the evening, more likely in the Lower South East. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, freshening later near the coasts.Sunday 25 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers over the west coast and the agricultural area except the Riverland, more likely in the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon.Monday 26 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers about the central and southern coasts, contracting to the Lower South East Coast in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon.Tuesday 27 January
A slight chance of showers about southern coasts. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast and with thunderstorms in the northeast.
Wednesday until FridayFine apart from a slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
