Weather Situation A weak front will move across the southeast of the State early Friday. A ridge of high pressure will extend over the south of the State during Friday. Another front will move over southern coasts on Saturday evening and early Sunday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayA slight chance of showers late evening about the Lower South East coast and south coast of Kangaroo Island. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 23 JanuaryThe slight chance of morning showers near southern and western coasts. The medium chance of showers and possible thunder in the afternoon over the east of the Flinders district and North East Pastoral district south of Moomba. Mild to warm in the south, hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times about the coasts.Saturday 24 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area in the evening, more likely in the Lower South East. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, freshening later near the coasts.Sunday 25 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers over the west coast and the agricultural area except the Riverland, more likely in the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon.Monday 26 January The slight chance of showers about the central and southern coasts, contracting to the Lower South East Coast in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast and with thunderstorms in the northeast.
