Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 18/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1020 hPa south of the Bight will continue to move eastwards to be near Tasmania on Monday morning. A trough of low pressure is forecast to move across the far west coast on Monday evening and extend across the remainder of the State during Tuesday and early Wednesday. Another weak high will form over the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh near the coasts in the afternoon and early evening.Monday 19 JanuaryFine. Warm in the south grading to very hot in the west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly in the far west in the afternoon and evening.Tuesday 20 JanuaryChance of some patchy light rain about the eastern border districts south of about Loxton. The chance of showers developing over the West Coast district, Eyre Peninsula and central districts south of about Clare in the evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to very hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder fresh southerly change in the west extending across western parts during the morning then remaining parts of the State in the afternoon and evening.Wednesday 21 JanuaryThe chance of morning showers over the southern agricultural area, Eyre Peninsula and the south of the Flinders district, more likely about central coasts and Kangaroo Island. Mild to warn in the south grading to hot to very hot in the far north.Thursday 22 January
The chance of showers developing south of about Keith to Adelaide to Ceduna during the afternoon. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm with possible isolated falls of up to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast.
Friday until SundayThe chance of morning showers over the agricultural area on Friday then redeveloping about southern coasts on Saturday afternoon and extending to western coasts on Sunday. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
