Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 16/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1020 hPa south of Perth will move eastwards over the weekend to be near Tasmania on Monday morning. A trough of low pressure is forecast to move across the far west coast on Monday evening and extend across the remainder of the State during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly fog patches over the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula. The slight chance of light showers over windward coasts of the southern agricultural area, clearing during the afternoon and then redeveloping about the Lower South East coast in the evening. Mild near the coasts grading to hot in the far north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts.Sunday 18 JanuaryThe slight chance of light morning showers near southern coasts and southeastern districts. Mild near the coasts grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coasts in the afternoon.Monday 19 JanuaryFine. Warm to hot. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly in the far west in the evening.Tuesday 20 January
Fine. Hot to very hot. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming moderate to fresh northerly ahead of a milder southerly change extending across western parts during the morning then reaching central and eastern districts by evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 1 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 2 mm in the Lower South East.
Wednesday until FridayThe chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area and parts of the West Coast on Wednesday and Thursday, more likely about the southern coasts on Thursday then easing later on Friday. Hot in the north at first with milder conditions extending throughout on Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
