Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 16/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak front/trough will move across western and southeastern New South Wales on Saturday before weakening further over the northeast early Sunday as a high pressure system moves towards Tasmania extending a ridge to the north coast. A low pressure trough will develop over the northeast of the state on Monday and then it is expected to move west during Tuesday as the high moves over the southern Tasman Sea strengthening the ridge to the north coast.
Forecast for the rest of FridaySlight chance of showers on the far south coast. Mostly clear elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds inland, and east to northeasterly winds near the coast.Saturday 17 JanuarySlight chance of showers on the south coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds inland, and northeast to southeasterly winds near the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High in : Far North Coast, New England, Northern Slopes and North Western.Sunday 18 JanuaryMedium chance of showers near the coast grading to slight on the adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms about the far north coast. Partly cloudy west of the Divide. Southeast to southwesterly winds.Monday 19 JanuaryModerate to high chance of showers in the east with very high chance of rain on the far north. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Partly cloudy in the west. South to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 20 JanuaryHigh to very chance of showers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Medium chance of showers on the south and central coasts and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
