Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 13/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system centred near Tasmania is moving east to be centred over the Tasman sea on Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure will remain over the State in the wake of the low through to Saturday, as a series of fronts move to the south of the State.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, more likely over the southern agricultural area. Cool near the coasts grading to warm in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh over the agricultural area till evening.Thursday 15 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north, becoming hot in the far west. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 16 JanuaryThe slight chance of showers about the southern coasts and over the South East district. Mild about southern coasts, grading to hot in the west and far north. Chiefly light winds, becoming mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly from late afternoon.Saturday 17 January
The slight chance of showers near the coasts. Mild near the coasts grading to hot in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area, reaching 2 to 5 mm in the Lower South East.
Sunday until TuesdayThe slight chance of isolated showers near southern coasts on Sunday. Fine throughout on Monday and Tuesday and becoming warmer to be generally hot throughout on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
