National Weekly Rice Summary (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California) Domestic Trend In the south, long grain milled rice prices steady to 1.00 lower; medium grain milled rice prices fully steady. Parboiled prices mostly steady, instances 1.00 lower. Seconds heads and Brewers fully steady. Rice by-products: rice bran prices mostly steady, instances 20.00 lower; millfeed and ground hulls prices fully steady. In California, medium and short grain rice prices steady to 2.00 lower. Second heads and Brewers mostly steady. Rice by-products: rice bran prices steady to 5.00 higher; hull prices firm. CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Jan 9th, Jan closed .03 higher at 11.325; Mar closed .02 higher at 11.545; May closed .01 higher at 11.765. US dollar index on Friday settled at 91.92.
