Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 9/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the New South Wales north coast and a low pressure trough extends from northwestern Australia to the southwest of the state bringing rain band to the western districts. The trough will move westwards during Monday and a low will form within it. This low will move cross the state during Tuesday and it is expected to deepen over the southern Tasman Sea early Wednesday before moving rapidly towards New Zealand.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayVery high chance of rain in the west with moderate to heavy falls in the far west. Slight to medium chance of showers elsewhere. The chance of thunderstorms on south and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Northeast to northwesterly, fresh to strong in the west.Sunday 11 JanuaryVery high chance of rain in the southern, central and northwestern parts with the chance of thunderstorms. Slight to medium chance of showers in the northeast. Northeast to northwest winds, freshening in the west and along the coast.Monday 12 JanuaryHigh chance of showers in the south and in the far northwest, slight to medium elsewhere. The chance of thunderstorms in the in the far west. North to northwest winds.Tuesday 13 JanuaryMedium chance of showers in most districts.
