Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving high near New Zealand and a trough lying from northwest NSW to the southeast are resulting in a warm and humid airmass over the northeastern half of the state. An active cold front will approach NSW Thursday with the trough expected to deepen further and the atmosphere to become more unstable. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to be quite widespread over the northeast half during the afternoon and evening tomorrow with isolated severe storms possible.
