Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system west of Tasmania is centred over the Tasman Sea. A trough of low pressure will move across the State over the weekend. A weak front will move over the south of the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from the slight chance of showers near western coasts in the evening. Mostly hot with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh at times in the morning, ahead of a milder, fresh, south to southeasterly wind change in the west and near southern coasts late afternoon or evening.Sunday 14 DecemberThe slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, chiefly morning, clearing by evening. Mild to warm near southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds, tending moderate to fresh south to southeasterly over the agricultural area and in the west.Monday 15 DecemberFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeast to northwesterly over the North East Pastoral, but southwest to southerly winds extending further northeastwards in the evening.Tuesday 16 December
The chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area, and possible thundery showers northwest of about Coober Pedy. Mild grading to hot in the far north with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly increasing to localised values of 2 to 10 mm with thunderstorms in the far northwest.
Wednesday until FridayThe chance of showers over the Pastoral and Flinders districts and the northern agricultural area, extending to most districts on Thursday, then contracting to southern coasts on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
