Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad trough of low pressure will remain near the northern border, before deepening later on Tuesday as a low pressure system develops over the northwest of the State. A high 1024 hPa south of Tasmania is moving steadily eastwards and another high will develop southwest of the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayA slight chance of thundery showers north of about Coober Pedy. A slight to medium chance of showers south of about Cleve to Renmark, clearing by evening. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to southwest winds, fresh about the coasts in the afternoon and evening.Monday 8 DecemberA slight chance of thundery showers northeast of Moomba until evening. A slight chance of light showers about southern coasts early morning. Mild to warm in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 9 DecemberA slight chance of showers and thunderstorms northwest of about Coober Pedy late afternoon and evening. Mild to warm about the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west ahead of a milder southwesterly change.Wednesday 10 December
The slight chance of showers developing over most districts, more likely over the North West Pastoral east of Coober Pedy. The chance of thunderstorms over the Pastoral, Flinders and West Coast districts. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds, tending to hot northerly winds over the northern parts of the Pastoral districts.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over the North West Pastoral east of Coober Pedy. Isolated falls of 5 to 15 mm are possible with thunderstorms.
Thursday until SaturdayThe chance of showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Woomera, contracting northeastwards, clearing the far northeast by Friday evening. Fine throughout on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
