Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over Western Australia will move across the far west of South Australia today and then move slowly over remaining districts on Wednesday and Thursday. A high will develop south of the Bight on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayShowers and thunderstorms in the west, extending eastwards across the State except to the far east of the agricultural area and clearing later from the far west. Locally raised dust in the far west. Warm to hot with moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening in the west ahead of a milder, fresh southwest to southerly change reaching the west coast of Eyre Peninsula during the evening. Afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 3 DecemberA slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, more likely east of Port Lincoln to Coober Pedy. Warm in the south, grading to hot over the remainder. Mainly moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, shifting southwest to southerly in the west.Thursday 4 DecemberSlight chance of showers and thunderstorms northeast of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek to Renmark, contracting further northeastwards during the day. Slight chance of showers about southern and gulf coasts. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh about southern and western coasts. Mild to warm about the coasts, hot inland.Friday 5 December
The chance of showers developing northwest of Woomera, with the chance of thunderstorms northwest of Coober Pedy. Slight chance of showers about southern coasts and ranges south of Adelaide during the morning. Mild about southern coasts, warm to hot over the remainder. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Friday are expected to be generally 2 to 10 mm, with isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm with thunderstorms.
Saturday until MondayThe chance of showers extending to most districts on Saturday and then contracting to the northeast during the Sunday and clearing by Monday. Mild to warm in the south, hot inland. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts at times.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
