Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to New South Wales far north coast and a broad trough of low pressure lies over western parts of the state. Over the next few days a little change in the synoptic is expected with the trough bringing unstable weather conditions to most of the districts.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMedium to high chance of showers and thunderstorms across most districts, mostly during the afternoon and evening. Northerly winds tending southwesterly in the far southwest later.Tuesday 2 DecemberPartly cloudy in the southwest. Medium to high chance of showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Northwest winds in the north shifting southwesterly in the south. Northerly winds on the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High in: ACT, North Western and Lower Central West Plains.Wednesday 3 DecemberSlight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the northeastern inland, medium to high chance elsewhere. A southwest to southeast change spreading through the south. Northwest to northeast winds over the remainder.Thursday 4 DecemberPartly cloudy in the far southwest. A medium to high chance of showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds in the north.Friday 5 DecemberA medium to high chance of showers and thunderstorms in the eastern half. Partly cloudy in the west. Northerly winds on the far north coast and ranges.
