Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over western districts will move over central and southeastern parts of South Australia today then over the far northeast on Monday, followed by a weak high moving over the Bight. Another low pressure trough will develop near the western border on Tuesday, then move slowly over western districts on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of showers and thunderstorms over most districts, more likely in the afternoon northeast of Renmark to Woomera to Coober Pedy, gradually contracting northeastwards. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a fresh south to southwesterly change developing over western and southern coasts, extending over the remainder of the agricultural area in the evening.Monday 1 DecemberShowers and thunderstorms northeast of about Broken Hill to Oodnadatta, contracting to the far northeast, and also developing in the far northwest from late afternoon. Fine over the remainder apart from the slight chance of showers near southern coasts. Milder over the agricultural area and in the west, hot over the remainder. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout, except for the far northeast.Tuesday 2 DecemberThe slight chance of showers and thunderstorms to the north and west of about Leigh Creek to Port Lincoln and near southern coasts, more likely west of about Woomera. Warm in the south, grading to hot over the remainder. Mainly moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southeast to northeasterly in the south.Wednesday 3 December
A medium chance of showers and thunderstorms, less likely over eastern districts and west of Ceduna. Warm in the south, grading to hot over the remainder. Mainly moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, shifting southwest to southerly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, with isolated falls of 5 to 15 mm with thunderstorms.
Thursday until SaturdayShowers and thunderstorms contracting eastwards and clearing by later Thursday, but the chance of showers persisting near the coasts on Friday and Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
