Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 28/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system west of Tasmania extends a ridge through Bass Strait to another high pressure centre off the NSW coast. The high will gradually move to the south of Tasmania during the weekend, while a low pressure trough will develop over South Australia on Saturday and move into western Victoria later Sunday. The trough will pushing eastwards across central and eastern Victoria during Monday with the next high pressure system developing south of the Bight on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine and clear. Light east to southeast winds inland and coastal seabreezes.Saturday 29 NovemberEarly morning fog patches in the south. Fine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms on the eastern ranges. A warm to hot and mainly sunny day inland with light winds but milder near the coast with freshening afternoon seabreezes.Fire Danger -  High in the southwest.Sunday 30 NovemberA warm to hot and humid day with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing, mainly about the central and eastern districts. Generally light east to northeasterly winds.Monday 1 DecemberWarm to hot and humid over the eastern half with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Becoming milder in the southwest with isolated showers clearing. Hot and mainly dry over the northwest. Light to moderate northwest winds shifting west to southwesterly from the west during the day.Tuesday 2 DecemberPartly cloudy with the chance of a shower in the south, mainly about the southwest coast. Fine and mainly sunny in the north. Mild in the south, warm inland. Moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
