Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system west of Tasmania extends a strong ridge through Bass Strait to the NSW coast. A weak cold front will cross Tasmania today then the high pressure system is expected to gradually move to the south of Tasmania during the weekend. A low pressure trough will develop over South Australia on Saturday and move into western Victoria late on Sunday before gradually pushing eastwards across the remainder of Victoria during Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayEarly fog patches in the east, otherwise fine. A mild to warm and sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Saturday 29 NovemberFine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers on the eastern ranges. A warm to hot and mainly sunny day inland with light winds but milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Sunday 30 NovemberA warm to hot and humid day with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing, mainly about the central and eastern ranges. Generally light east to northeasterly winds.Monday 1 DecemberWarm to hot and humid over the eastern half with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Becoming milder in the southwest with isolated showers. Hot and mainly dry over the northwest. Light winds tending moderate southwesterly over the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Friday.Product IDV10310
