Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the State will move slowly southeastwards to be located southeast of Tasmania on Monday. A trough of low pressure will develop near the western border on Saturday, then move over South Australia on Sunday and into the far northeast on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh at times about coasts and ranges. Fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Friday 28 NovemberThe chance of thundery showers developing in the far west during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Saturday 29 NovemberThundery showers extending over areas west of about Elliston to Coober Pedy, more likely west of about Nullarbor to Ernabella. The chance of thundery showers northeast of Moomba in the afternoon and evening. Hot with mostly light winds, becoming moderate southwest to southerly in the far west later.Sunday 30 NovemberThe slight chance of showers over most districts, more likely northeast of Ernabella to Broken Hill, with possible thunderstorms over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Hot with moderate northerly winds ahead of a fresh south to southwesterly change extending over the west and near southern coasts.Monday 1 December
Showers and thunderstorms contracting to northeast of about Yunta to Coober Pedy. Fine over the remainder apart from the slight chance of showers near southern coasts. Milder over the agricultural area and in the west, hot over the remainder. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout, except for the far northeast.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Monday are expected to be generally less than 1 mm, with isolated falls of 1 to 5 mm with thunderstorms.
Tuesday until ThursdayMostly warm in the south, grading to hot over the remainder, with the chance of showers. Mainly moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southeast to northeasterly in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
