Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will drift slowly eastwards and will be centred just to the southwest of Victoria today with a strong ridge extending through Bass Strait to the NSW coast. On Friday another weak cold front will cross Tasmania then the high pressure system is expected to gradually move to the south of Tasmania during the weekend. A low pressure trough will develop over South Australia on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine and mostly sunny. Mild in the south, warmer in the north, with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  High in the northwest.Friday 28 NovemberFine. A mild to warm and sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 29 NovemberFine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers on the eastern ranges. A warm to hot and mainly sunny day inland with light winds but milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Sunday 30 NovemberA warm to hot and humid day with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing, mainly about the ranges.
