MELBOURNE - Nov 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred to the west of Bass Strait is extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast in the wake of a low pressure trough, while a second trough lies over the state's west. A new high centre will develop over the western Tasman Sea during Friday and should remain almost stationary for several days, becoming the dominant synoptic feature in the region. As this high strengthens, the inland trough is expected to weaken and be pushed further west, before gradually shifting east again on Sunday and Monday as the high starts to drift towards New Zealand. This movement is likely to be accompanied by increasingly unsettled conditions across much of the state.
