MELBOURNE - Nov 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the State will move slowly southeastwards to be located southwest of Tasmania Saturday morning. A trough of low pressure will develop near the western border on Saturday, then move over South Australia on Sunday and into the far northeast on Monday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh about the coasts with the afternoon sea breezes.Friday 28 NovemberThe chance of thundery showers developing in the far west during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts in the afternoon.Saturday 29 NovemberThundery showers extending over areas west of about Ceduna to Coober Pedy, more likely west of about Nullarbor to Ernabella. Hot with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.Sunday 30 November The chance of showers extending across the State with possible thunderstorms over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Hot northerly winds ahead of a fresh and gusty south to southwesterly change extending over southern and western parts of the State, reaching the North East Pastoral district late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 1 mm increasing to 1 to 5 mm about the far northeast and far west. Falls of up to 10 mm are possible with thunderstorms. Monday until WednesdayThe chance of thundery showers over the far northeast, clearing on Monday. A slight chance of showers about the coasts extending over the State early next week.
