Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough stalled on the far north coast is expected to produce some fairly persistent and possibly locally heavy rain about the far north coast today with showers and thunderstorms developing generally about the northeast during the day. A weak high pressure ridge lies over southern and central parts of the state. A southeasterly change will move along the southern coast late today and along the northern coast Thursday. Isolated showers are expected with this change, becoming more widespread along the northern coast on Thursday. A high pressure system will move into the central Tasman Sea Friday with further showers for the north coast but generally fine conditions elsewhere. The high is expected to move east over the Tasman Sea on Saturday as a slow moving trough deepens near the NSW/SA border, resulting in hotter northerly winds over the inland.
