Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge towards Victoria. A cold front will move across southern Victoria on Wednesday and then the high will drift slowly eastwards to be near Tasmania on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday a high pressure system will be over the Tasman Sea and will extend a ridge to another high pressure system south of Tasmania.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers near the coast clearing tonight. Fine elsewhere. Moderate southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Wednesday 26 NovemberIsolated showers in the south. Fine in the north. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Fire Danger -  Moderate to High.Thursday 27 NovemberFine. Mild in the south, warmer in the north, with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Friday 28 NovemberFine. A mild to warm and sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 29 NovemberIsolated showers developing near the eastern ranges. Fine elsewhere.
