Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will extend a ridge towards Victoria today. A cold front will move across southern Victoria on Wednesday and then the high will drift slowly eastwards to be near Tasmania on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the south contracting to the coast by the afternoon and clearing later. Fine and mostly sunny north of the divide. A cool to mild day with moderate southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Fire Danger -  Moderate to High.Wednesday 26 NovemberIsolated showers in the south. Fine in the north. Cool to mild in the south, warmer in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Thursday 27 NovemberFine. Mild in the south, warmer in the north, with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Friday 28 NovemberFine. A mild to warm and sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
