Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front with mild southerly behind is moving through southeastern New South Wales and it will weaken into a trough over the far northeast during today. Behind the front a high pressure system will move very slowly towards Tasmania on Wednesday strengthening a ridge throughout the state and stabilising conditions by Friday. The next trough is expected to develop over the far west of the state next Monday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMedium to high chance of showers in the northeast, northern and central inland and on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast and northern and central inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Milder southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Very High in ACT, Illawarra, Southern Ranges, Central Ranges, Upper Central West Plains.Wednesday 26 NovemberMedium to high chance of showers in the northeast and on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges grading to very high chance on the far north coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly sunny over the inland. Southeast to southwesterly winds tending east to northeasterly in the northeast.Thursday 27 NovemberMedium to high chance of showers in the northeast grading to a slight chance on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly sunny over the inland. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 28 NovemberMedium chance of showers in the northeast grading to a slight chance on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges.
