Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A small high pressure system over the State will move eastwards ahead of a trough reaching the far west coast in the evening and extending to a line Kingscote to Tarcoola late Saturday morning and a line Broken Hill to Coober Pedy in the evening. A front will move over the south of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA slight chance of showers about the southern coasts of the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island in the evening. A chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far north around midday, extending southwards over the North West Pastoral and west of the North East Pastoral during the late afternoon or evening, Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds turning northerly in the west, ahead of a fresh southerly change west of Nullarbor in the evening.Saturday 22 NovemberA slight chance of showers, except for over the West Coast district and south of the North West Pastoral west of Elliston. The chance of thundery showers about southern coasts in the morning and north of Woomera to Renmark. Hot to very hot in the north, warm in the south. Moderate to fresh northerly winds in the north and east, ahead of a milder fresh southwest to southerly change extending to a line Broken Hill to Coober Pedy late evening.Sunday 23 NovemberA slight chance of thundery showers over the northern agricultural area, Pastoral and Flinders districts and along the eastern border. Showers more likely over the North East Pastoral. A slight chance of showers about southern coasts late evening. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light winds, tending moderate to fresh northwest in the northwest and moderate to fresh southerly about western coasts.Monday 24 November
A slight chance of showers throughout, with possible thunder north of a line Ceduna to Keith. Cool to mild in the south, grading to very hot in the northeast. Light to moderate northeast to northwest winds in the northeast, ahead of a fresh southwest to southerly change extending to Moomba late evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Monday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm with possible falls of 10 to 20 mm with thunderstorms and less than 2 mm about the far west coast.
Tuesday until ThursdayA slight chance of showers about central and eastern coasts and in the far northeast on Tuesday. Fine throughout on Wednesday and Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
