Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. A trough will move across the west of the State today then continue over central and eastern parts on Thursday. A front will move over the south of the State during Thursday. Another trough will move into the west of the State on Friday and over the remainder on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayShowers and thunderstorms extending across the west of the State, reaching a line about Coober Pedy to Kingscote late evening. Hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds ahead of a milder, southwesterly change in the west during the afternoon and evening.Thursday 20 NovemberShowers extending across the State, except the far northeast, clearing from the south and west during the day and contracting to the southern parts of the North East Pastoral district late evening. Showers tending to rain over the North West Pastoral. Possible thunderstorms, clearing to the east during the day. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and very hot in the far northeast. Moderate northerly winds in the east, southwest to southerly winds elsewhere extending throughout during the day.Friday 21 NovemberA slight chance of morning showers in the northeast and about southern coasts. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds turning northerly in the west.Saturday 22 NovemberA slight chance of showers, except for over the West Coast district and south of the North West Pastoral, with the chance of thundery showers north of Woomera to Renmark. Hot to very hot in the north with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, mild to warm about the coast with moderate southwesterly winds extending over the agricultural area during the day.Sunday 23 November
A slight chance of showers over the northern agricultural area, Pastoral and Flinders districts and along the eastern border. Showers more likely over the North East Pastoral with the chance of thunderstorms. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north with mainly light winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Sunday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm, with falls of 5 to 10 mm possible with thunderstorms. Falls of 15 to 25 mm are possible in rain areas over the North West Pastoral.
Monday until WednesdayA medium chance of showers for most parts, easing and contracting to the far north and south on Tuesday, clearing by Wednesday. Hot to very hot in the far northeast at first, ahead of a milder change extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
