Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system located just east of Victoria will track rapidly east over the Tasman Sea tonight. A cold front is expected to cross Tasmania tonight with an associated deep low passing well south of that State. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Monday and move towards western Victoria on Tuesday before crossing the State on Wednesday morning to reach the north Tasman Sea later on Wednesday. A low pressure trough is expected to reach western Victoria on Thursday morning then gradually cross the State later on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the south, mostly near the coast. Cool and partly cloudy with moderate west to southwest wind, fresh about the coast.Monday 17 NovemberIsolated showers, mainly over southern and mountain districts. A cool to mild day with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Tuesday 18 NovemberIsolated showers near the coast, clearing by the afternoon. A mild day, mostly sunny in the north but some cloud persisting in the south with moderate southwesterly winds.Wednesday 19 NovemberFine. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day. Light winds tending moderate northerly in the west and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Thursday 20 NovemberScattered showers developing in the west during the morning then extending eastwards in the afternoon and evening. Warm with moderate to fresh northerly wind ahead of a cooler southwesterly change in the far west late morning and extending to central areas and the northwest by the evening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
