MELBOURNE - Nov 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low over northern Victoria is moving steadily eastwards. A high 1021 hpa over the Bight will remain near stationary on Monday as a weak front moves across the southeast of the State in the morning. The high will then move eastwards ahead of another front moving across the west of the State on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayA slight chance of showers over the South East district and coastal parts of the agricultural area, contracting to the southern coasts in the afternoon. A slight chance of thundery showers developing in the afternoon about the far north of the North West Pastoral district. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the north. Moderate west to southwest winds, fresh about southern coasts, tending light to moderate southwest to southeast in the north.Monday 17 NovemberA slight chance of showers about the southern coasts and ranges, clearing during the afternoon. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 18 NovemberA slight chance of afternoon thundery showers developing northwest of about Coober Pedy. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending east to northeast in the far west, fresh about the far west coast in the afternoon.Wednesday 19 November Thundery showers extending across the far west of the State, possibly reaching a line Coober Pedy to Port Lincoln late evening. Hot with moderate northeast to northerly winds, turning milder fresh south to southwest in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with local falls of 2 to 10 mm associated with thunderstorms.
