Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough and associated southerly change lie across the state's north and west, and will gradually shift towards the northeast today. A weak ridge of high pressure across the south will erode as a second trough, currently near Adelaide, moves east later today, bringing a little rain to some southern districts. A low developing within this trough is expected to skirt the southern border regions overnight before deepening off the south coast during Sunday, creating windy conditions through much of the east, turning cooler southerly as the next high pressure system approaches from the west. This next high looks likely to dominate the charts during the first half of the new week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayHot and dry across the north, with the exception of an afternoon shower or two about eastern parts of the tablelands. Patchy rain developing over the south and some central districts, increasing in the evening. A possible late thunderstorm or two in the southwest. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast, with cooler southwest to southeasterly winds extending through the remainder.Fire Danger - Severe: Central Ranges, Northern Slopes, Northwestern, Upper Central West Plains, Lower Central West Plains Fire Areas.
