Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough has now cleared to the east of Victoria, however a low pressure system will form near Adelaide on Saturday morning, moving to central Victoria at night. This low will extend across to eastern Victoria early Sunday, reaching the central Tasman Sea at night. A cold front is expected to cross Tasmania on Sunday night then a high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Monday and move towards western Victoria on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayCloudy with isolated showers possible in the east and south. Cool in the south and mild in the north with moderate to locally fresh southerly winds.Saturday 15 NovemberIsolated showers tending to rain areas from the west during the afternoon and evening. The chance of late thunderstorms over the northwest and central areas. A cool to mild and cloudy day with light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  High in the northwest.Sunday 16 NovemberRain areas in the east with possible heavy falls, clearing by the early afternoon. Morning thunderstorms possible in the northeast. Isolated showers to follow in the south. Cool in the south, mild in the north with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds extending throughout.Monday 17 NovemberIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mainly during the morning. A mild day with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 18 NovemberIsolated showers near the coast, clearing by the afternoon. A mild day, mostly sunny in the north with moderate southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
