MELBOURNE - Nov 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is over the Tasman Sea. A low pressure trough will move across the remainder of Victoria today. A low pressure system will form near Adelaide on Saturday morning, moving to central Victoria at night. This low will extend across to eastern Victoria early Sunday, reaching the central Tasman Sea at night. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Monday as a cold front crosses Tasmania. Forecast for the rest of FridayHot at first over the north. A cooler fresh southwest to southerly change progressing across central areas during the morning and then the east during the afternoon. Isolated showers possible after the change, mainly over the southwest.Fire Danger - Generally high to very high.Saturday 15 NovemberRain areas extending from the west during the afternoon and evening, reaching the east in the evening. Cool to mild and cloudy day with light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds.Sunday 16 NovemberRain areas in the east clearing. Isolated showers to follow in the south. Cool in the south, mild in the north with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds extending throughout.Monday 17 NovemberIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mainly during the morning.
