Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure approximately from Oodnadatta to Yunta will move northeastwards to reach Moomba late Friday evening. A low is expected to develop near Ceduna Friday evening and then move southeastwards to be over western Victoria on Saturday evening. A high will move over the Bight on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA chance of thundery showers southwest of a line Leigh Creek to Renmark, more likely west of Woomera to Cape Jervis. Scattered thunderstorms in the far northwest during the afternoon. Also a chance of dry thunderstorms in the far northeast this afternoon. Very hot with fresh to strong northerly winds in the far northeast with areas of raised dust. Milder, fresh south to southeast winds in the south, strong at times near the coasts, tending south to southwest in the north, strong at times over the North East Pastoral.Saturday 15 NovemberA slight chance of showers in the far northwest and northeast. A medium chance of showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere. Mild to warm grading to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a cooler fresh southwesterly change in the west, extending throughout by late evening.Sunday 16 NovemberA slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and far north, more likely over the Lower South East. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the north. Moderate west to southwest winds, fresh about southern coasts, tending light to moderate southwest to southeast in the north.Monday 17 November
A slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders, clearing during the afternoon. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm with less than 2 mm to the northeast. Isolated falls of 10 to 30 mm are possible in the far west of the State.
Tuesday until ThursdayBecoming warm to hot with winds turning northerly ahead of cooler southwesterly change in the west on Thursday. A chance of showers in the west, gradually extending across the west and south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
