MELBOURNE - Nov 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1027 hPa south of Port Lincoln will move southeast to be near Tasmania on Tuesday evening. A trough of low pressure will move across the far west of the State on Wednesday and reach a line Oodnadatta to Renmark late Thursday evening and the far northeast corner late Friday evening, with a cold southerly airstream to follow. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine. Cool to mild about the coasts, warm to hot inland. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts.Tuesday 11 NovemberFine and warm to hot, grading to very hot in the far west. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate coastal sea breezes, fresh about southern coasts.Wednesday 12 NovemberA chance of showers developing in the far west, with possible late thunderstorms in the far northwest. Ho, grading to very hot in the north and west. Light to moderate norttheast to northwest winds freshening in the far west, ahead of a milder southerly change about western coasts and the far west.Thursday 13 NovemberA chance of thundery showers extending across the west. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a milder southerly change reaching a line Oodnadatta to Renmark late evening.Friday 14 November Areas of rain extending to a line Pukatja to Renmark, with a chance of rain extending to Moomba. Possible thunderstorms. Very hot with fresh to strong northerly winds and areas of raised in the far northeast, turning colder fresh south to southwesterly over the remainder. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm southwest of a line Pukatja to Renmark with less than 2 mm to the northeast.
