MELBOURNE - Nov 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation The tail end of a cold front over the Southern Ocean will pass through Bass Strait this morning. A high pressure system centred south of Adelaide will pass just to the south of Victoria during Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea Wednesday night. The next low pressure trough will reach southwestern Victoria on Thursday afternoon. Forecast for the rest of MondayDry, mild to warm and sunny over the north. Cooler and partly cloudy in the south with isolated showers this morning and early afternoon, mainly near the coast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds.Fire Danger - Moderate to high.Tuesday 11 NovemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the south. Cool to mild and partly cloudy in the south but warmer and mostly sunny over the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 NovemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the south. A warm and mostly sunny day with light winds and milder afternoon coastal seabreezes.Thursday 13 NovemberIsolated showers developing from the west, mainly over southern and mountain areas and tending to rain in the far west at night. Remaining fine in the far east.
