Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge across southern Victoria. A cold front will cross Tasmania and eastern Bass Strait early on Monday, then the high pressure system will then progress steadily eastwards, moving across Bass Strait during Tuesday and reaching the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. The next cold front will reach southwestern Victoria on Thursday afternoon.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine and mostly clear. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Monday 10 NovemberFine apart from isolated showers developing in the south, mainly near the coast. Early morning fog patches in the south. Mild to warm and sunny over the north, cooler in the south. Moderate southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Tuesday 11 NovemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the south. Cool to mild in the south but warm over the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 NovemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the south. A warm and mostly sunny day with light winds and milder afternoon coastal seabreezes.Thursday 13 NovemberIsolated showers developing from the west, mainly over southern and moutain areas and tending to rain in the far west at night. Remaining fine in the far east. A warm to hot day with mainly moderate northerly winds shifting southwesterly in the west during the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
