Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough slowly extends across northeastern New South Wales and will eventually stall in the far northeast on Tuesday drawing in hot and dry northerly winds ahead of it. A southerly wind change following in the wake of the trough is bringing cooler temperatures over the southern coastal districts today and will be followed by unsettled weather developing over the east and northeast of the state as a high pressure system moves over the Tasman Sea into the new week.
Forecast for the rest of SundaySlight chance of showers along the southern coast and adjacent tablelands in the afternoon and evening. Mostly clear elsewhere. Northerly winds in the northeast, with a southerly change extending through the remainder.Monday 10 NovemberThe chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms in the northeast third of the state, more likely on the northern ranges. Cloudy with the chance of showers on the coast and adjacent ranges as far south as the Illawarra. Fine and mostly sunny in the remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  Very High in the Central Ranges, Northern Slopes, North Western and the Upper and Lower Central West Plains Fire Areas.Tuesday 11 NovemberSlight to medium chance of showers in the northeast and central and southern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms on the northern ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 NovemberSlight chance of showers on central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, increasing to medium chance in the far northeast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mostly southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming light and variable inland.Thursday 13 NovemberMedium chance of showers in the far northeast.
