Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will remain near stationary through to Tuesday. The high will then move east on Wednesday as a trough moves over western and southern districts.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh about the coasts until early evening.Monday 10 NovemberPossible isolated patches of early morning fog over the southeast districts. The slight chance of morning showers over the south of the Lower South East. Cool to mild about the coasts, warm to hot inland. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times about the coasts.Tuesday 11 NovemberFine and warm to hot, very hot in the west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 NovemberSlight chance of showers developing in the far west with possible late thunderstorms in the far northwest. Hot to very hot with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the west.Thursday 13 November
Slight chance of showers extending across western and southeastern parts and becoming more likely about southern and western coasts in the evening. Warm to hot in the south and west, hot to very hot elsewhere with moderate northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change in the west extending across the State to reach near Broken Hill to Oodnadatta late evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm with possible falls of 2 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayMedium chance of showers extending across western and southeastern parts on Friday and the slight chance over the Northeast Pastoral, apart from the far northeast. Showers contracting to southern coasts and ranges and the south of the northeast pastoral by late Friday evening and to the Lower South East coast during Saturday before clearing in the evening. Slight chance of showers developing over western and southern parts during Sunday. Hot in the northeast and mild to warm elsewhere extending throughout on Saturday then generally warming on Sunday. Moderate south to southeasterly winds becoming southeast to northeasterly during Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
