MELBOURNE - Nov 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure ridge over eastern NSW will weaken today as a cold front approaches. A hot day is expected in the west before the front and southwesterly change cross the southwest later in the afternoon and evening, and the front will bring a strong southerly change to the south coast tonight. No rain is expected with the change which should extend to the central part of the state tomorrow morning and weaken. Another front is expected to move along the coast on Monday, reaching the north coast Tuesday as a high moves into the Tasman Sea. Isolated showers are expected about the coast and adjacent ranges with this system. Forecast for the rest of SundaySlight chance of showers along the southern coast and adjacent tablelands in the afternoon and evening. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early patchy fog over the coastal districts, mainly inland. Hot day over the northern inland. Northerly winds in the northeast, with a southerly change extending through the remainder.Fire Danger - Very High in the Lower Central West Plains, Central Ranges and Greater Hunter Fire Areas.Monday 10 NovemberSlight chance of showers in the northeast, northern inland and most of the south coast. The chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 11 NovemberSlight to medium chance of showers in the northeast and central and southern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms on the northern ranges. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 12 NovemberSlight chance of showers on central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, increasing to medium chance in the far northeast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
