Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure Woomera to Mount Gambier will move northeastwards and weaken later on Saturday. A new high will move over the Bight on Sunday then remain near stationary through to Tuesday. The high will move east on Wednesday as a new trough develops in the west then extends across the State on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayA medium chance of showers southwest of a line Ernabella to Yunta, clearing during the afternoon. A chance of thunderstorms with the showers, more likely in the northwest of the State. Very hot with moderate northeast winds in the far northeast, tending milder moderate to fresh southwest to southeast over the remainder.Sunday 9 NovemberFine apart from the slight chance of showers over parts of the Pastoral districts and north of the Flinders with possible thunder west of Coober Pedy. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 10 NovemberFine apart from the slight chance of morning showers over the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Cool to mild about the coasts, warm to hot inland. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times about the coasts.Tuesday 11 November
Fine and warm to hot, very hot in the west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with local falls of 2 to 5 mm with thunderstorms.
Wednesday until FridaySlight chance of showers developing in the far west and about Kangaroo Island on Wednesday, extending across central and southeastern parts on Thursday then throughout on Friday. Hot to very hot on Wednesday with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder, fresh to strong southerly change on Thursday and Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
