USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Nov 7/14 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Nov 7.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids closed mixed.  Corn and
soybeans were lower on harvest pressure and favorable weather across the corn-
belt.  However, soybeans saw some support from good export demand.  Grain
harvest is coming along very well with soybeans listed at 85 percent completed
and corn 65 percent earlier in the week.  Wheat was lower due to the higher
dollar and slow exports.  Weekly export sales of corn were bearish coming in at
18.8 mb (478,200 mt), with all for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  Soybean export
sales were bullish listed at 59.3 mb (1,613,100 mt) with 59.2 mb (1,609,900 mt)
for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  Wheat sales came in bearish at a total of 9.8
mb (265,800 mt), with all for the 2014-2015 marketing year. Wheat was mostly 6-
53 cents lower.  Corn traded mixed from 19 cents lower to 7 cents higher.
Sorghum was 26 cents lower to 13 cents higher.  Soybeans were 28 cents lower to
23 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 43
to 46 cents lower  from 6.89-7.14 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 6 cents lower to 79 cents higher at 4.90 per bushel.
Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent
protein rail, was 8 3/4 to 53 3/4 cents lower from 8.09-8.29 per bushel.
Portland US Soft White wheat rail was 15 to 15 3/4 cents lower from 6.65 1/4-
6.86 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 10-12 cents higher from 3 to 6
cents higher from 3.67-3.75 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn
was 2 1/4 to 7 1/4 cents higher from 3.26 1/4-3.31 1/4 per bushel.  Omaha US No
2 truck Yellow Corn was 2 to 4 cents higher from 3.31-3.36 per bushel.  Chicago
US No 2 Yellow Corn was 5 3/4 to 19 3/4 cents lower from 3.30 1/4-3.64 1/4 per
bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 2 3/4 to 4 3/4 cents lower from
3.43 1/4-3.54 1/4 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 2 1/4
cents higher at 3.26 1/4 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 2 3/4 to 46 3/4 cents lower at 3.41 3/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or better
rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was steady at
7.35 per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not
available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 13 cents higher at 6.63 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 5 to 26 cents lower from 6.36-6.60 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 28 1/4 cents lower at 9.71
per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 5 3/4 to 23
3/4 cents higher from 10.28-10.40 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck
soybeans were 3/4 cent higher at 9.85 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent Soybean
meal, processor rail bid was 17.70 to 26.70 higher from 443.70-466.70 per ton.
Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 203 to 228 points lower
from 32.03-34.28 cents per pound.
