Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1019 hPa east of Kangaroo Island will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Friday. A trough of low pressure will move across the western parts of the State on Friday and progress across the remainder on Saturday. A new high will move over the Bight on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine. Some high cloud. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north and very hot in the far west. Light and variable winds, tending moderate north to northwest in the west and south.Friday 7 NovemberA slight chance of thundery showers extending across the west of the State. Very hot with moderate northeast winds, becoming fresh north to northwest during the morning and strong in the west, bringing areas of raised dust. A milder, fresh and gusty southwesterly change in the west is expected to reach a line Kingscote to Tarcoola late evening.Saturday 8 NovemberFine northeast of a line Oodnadatta to Broken Hill. A chance of showers extending across the remainder, with possible thunder over the west and the Flinders district. Very hot with moderate northeast winds in the far northeast, tending milder moderate southwest to southeast over the remainder.Sunday 9 November
A slight chance of showers over the Pastoral districts. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with very isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm with thunderstorms.
Monday until WednesdayA slight chance of showers over the Pastorals and southern coasts on Monday. Fine Tuesday and Wednesday apart from a chance of late evening showers in the far west on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
