MELBOURNE - Nov 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough crossing the State will clear eastern Victoria Wednesday morning as a small low pressure forms over eastern Bass Strait. The low will drift southeastwards to the Tasman Sea later on Wednesday and Thursday as the next high pressure system moves over the State. This high will move over the Tasman Sea on Friday then the next low pressure trough will cross Victoria on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated thundery showers over the far east clearing this evening. Isolated drizzle developing later tonight in the south. Dry over the northern plains. Cooler, gusty southwest to southerly winds over the west, extending across central districts this eveningWednesday 5 NovemberIsolated showers or drizzle patches in the south, contracting east during the morning and clearing by the afternoon. A mild and mostly sunny day in the north but cooler and partly cloudy in the south. Moderate to locally fresh southwest to southerly winds extending to far eastern districts during the morning.Fire Danger - Moderate to high.Thursday 6 NovemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the south and west. A mild to warm and partly cloudy day with generally light to moderate westerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Friday 7 NovemberFine, warm to hot and mostly sunny inland with light to moderate northerly winds. A little milder along the Gippsland coast with afternoon seabreezes.Saturday 8 NovemberWarm to hot over over much of the State with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds. A cooler southwesterly change extending from the southwest late morning, reaching the far east at night.
